We are horrified and heartbroken by the recent act of terror against a Muslim family in London, Ontario. Our hearts break for the innocent lives taken by this act of anti-Muslim hatred, and for the nine-year-old boy whose life will be forever changed.
Canadians have a collective responsibility to address the anti-Muslim hate that exists in our country. The time to act is now; we must work together to create societal change and demand accountability. The BlackNorth Initiative calls on elected officials to immediately address the growing number of violent anti-Muslim hate crimes in Canada.
We come together, in solidarity and strength, to unite against this act of terrorism targeting the Muslim community. We will continue to lend our voices to the calls for accountability; we will be a force for change to eliminate racism and discrimination in all its forms.

Executive Director of the BlackNorth Initiative
